The other day, a Moose came to visit Heritage. The day I called in sick. He somehow got into the outdoor horse arena. The horses were really spooked by the big fella that had moved in.
They had to call animal control and the cops showed up too. When animal control got there, they had to put him to sleep so that he could be transported to a more suitable home.This is one of the guys from animal control and his tranquilizer gun! Once he was shot with a tranquilizer, The moose began to get very tired and laid down. After he was relaxed, several cops and animal control people moved him onto a large orange tarp. They called for several guys to come and help carry him to the horse trailer ...Some of the guys were really excited to be helping and more than willing to pitch in.So he was transported up to the mountains and we wish him the very best of luck in life!

Wow he is a huge moose!! I didn't realize how big they are or that they are up in the mountains in Utah. You hear about the dear, elk and bears but not the moose.
See what happens if you miss work, you miss all of the excitement. I hope you learned a lesson to never call in sick again...j/k!
Hi Jolene! It was good to hear from you! You are looking great with your pregnancy!! I'm am doing much better. I was also sick from about week six until...well...now I guess. :) We are about 14 1/2 weeks along. Are you guys finding out the sex of your baby at week 20?

in Alaska we just deal with them or call on ol' yeller' or some neighbor dog to bark at them. funny that thy used a tranquilizer....was he too close to town and couldn't run off to the woods by himself?
I hope you are feeling much better. We've been dealing with pink eye around here.(where do we pick up these things) I do remember though that when you are sick and pregnant it is so much worse. Sorry you missed all the excitment with the moose! It's not every day you have moose encounter.
