Ok, so here's the story. So I went into my doctor's appointment Monday morning, the day I thought I would be induced. I was really nervous because the doctor said if I wasn't dilating then I might have to have a c-section because he didn't know why the baby wasn't descending down. He thought maybe he was too big for my pelvis. So I prayed & prayed that I wouldn't have to have a c-section & that I would go on my own. So at my appointment to my disappointment a week late & still not dilated. So he decided to change my due date to the 26th according to his measurements on the ultrasound. He then told me he couldn't use the cream to dilate me until a week after my new due date which would be Thursday the 3rd of July. I guess it was an answer to my prayer, more time to try to go on my own, but I was still disappointed, I was planning on having a baby that day. That night I felt a lot of tightening in my stomach which started to get painful, but they were not regular at all. I went to bed, woke up an hour later with contractions. I started timing the contractions, they say not to come to the hospital until they are 3-5 minutes apart. Soon mine started getting about 5-10 minutes apart. I noticed that I started spotting blood, so I called the hospital to see if they wanted me to come in. They said they would check me out. We arrived about 3 am & then after evaluating me & being 1 centimeter dilated (YAH!, finally) the doctor decided to keep me & get me started. It was a long process, but at least I was able to sleep throughout the day with the epidural. After 3 hours of being dilated at a 10 & waiting for the doctor, he was finally born at 5:42 pm. It was amazing! After checking him out, clearing his lungs, weighing him, etc., I finally got to hold him. The second they placed him in my arms, he stopped crying instantly & looked up at me. I noticed he looked so much like Wade. He has his daddy's nose & mouth. He is such a sweet heart! Wade's hoping he has a good start to his basketball days since he was so tall, 22 inches. Well we are very excited to have him home & very nervous to take our eyes off of him especially at night. I don't think we got any sleep.
